This paper proposes the adoption of internet of things technologies (IoT) in improving learning, teaching and basic education management. It is an attempt to influence policy on the potential of IoT in improving learning, teaching and management at the basic education level. The paper identifies areas of health in education, teacher education, learner support, social mobilisation and support services, planning and delivery oversight, quality assessment, inclusive education and curriculum policy, support and monitoring as areas where IoT technologies can be adopted.
