However, these monitoring systems need to be consolidated and integrated amongst various components of catchment systems (groundwater, surface water, unsaturated zone, atmospheric monitoring). There was a need to provide an Integrated Catchment Monitoring (ICM) tool that would direct the user in finding the appropriate guideline, database, methodology or information.
