The definitive version was published in the Journal of Applied Polymer ScienceThis study explores the dynamic mechanical behavior of woven sisal fabric reinforced natural rubber composites. The influence of chemical modification on the viscoelastic properties has also been determined. Moreover, the effect of frequency on the viscoelastic properties of the textile composites has also been examined. An investigation into the viscoelastic properties with thermal resistance and morphology of woven sisal fabric reinforced natural rubber composites is presented. The damping factor was found to decrease with chemical treatment and the gum compound exhibited maximum damping characteristics. Thermal stability of the composites was also analyzed by thermogravimetric studies. Scanning electron microscopic studies were performed to evaluate the morphology of fabric-matrix interface.enTextile compositesThermal propertiesWoven sisal fabricViscoelastic propertiesNatural rubber biocompositesViscoelastic and thermal properties of woven sisal fabric reinforced natural rubber biocompositesArticleJohn, M.
