Initial attempts at ICT4D had limited success. “ICT for Society through Society” implies an approach through which digital inclusion is driven from within a society with the potential to contribute to ICT4D efforts. In this paper, it is argued that code-sprints, when enriched with life skill elements, utilising tertiary education students from development communities as participants, have the potential to create innovative solutions for that community.
