The objective of this research paper is to assess the possible impact of improved PT service provided, and examine how these improvements interrelate, and how they impact on passengers ‘budgets’ in terms of money, time, physical and mental effort (stress). The research results are organized and incorporated into a system dynamics model, where the interdependencies between those quality aspects are mapped. This model illustrates the means by which the level of service can be enhanced, and overall quality of public transport can be improved, eventually making it a preferred mode of transport. The model possesses the capability to ascertain the preferences of passengers about public transport, as well as the factors that impact their selection of transportation options.FulltextenPassenger transportNational Transport PolicyPublic transportHow do public transport quality aspects inter-relate, and how would it enhance transport policy: a system dynamics approachConference Presentationn/a
