This paper presents a survey of various water monitoring techniques with a view to check the quality of potable water available to the general public. The study analyses water quality monitoring methods with emphasis on the use of artificial intelligence that has become part of society. This technological advancement has provided a tool for potable water quality to be monitored by consumers themselves.
