The South African Police Force contracted the CSIR to create space-time maps using cellular telephone data to map the communications and movements of the suspects and state witness before, during and after the murder. The aim of this paper is to illustrate that the SCOR model can be used as a project management tool for small Engineer-to-Order (ETO) products. The ETO product in this instance was a poster in the form of a story board consisting of a time line showing the chronology of communications between the parties, an aerial photograph of the murder scene and nearest cellular base stations that could be triggered from the murder scene, a plan of the house indicating which room triggered which cellular base stations, tables showing calls and related maps showing the communication and movements and a 3D map showing the movements in time and space on the night of the murder.
