Quantitative data was captured through a survey and a total of 129 students responded to the survey. The mobile centric readiness of students was evaluated based on factors that could affect the readiness of students in accessing and interacting with mobile centric services. The factors were Infrastructure ownership, Knowledge of device functionality, Sources of internet access, Mobile phone internet activities and Context of use. The results of this study confirmed that the students satisfied the readiness factors and they are ready to use mobile phones as tools for information access and interaction in learning.enMobile centric servicesMobile information accessMobile phone internet activitiesMobile readinessEvaluating mobile centric readiness of students: A case of computer science students in open-distance learningConference PresentationChipangura, B., van Biljon, J., & Botha, A.
