Sophisticated play-out algorithms are found to enhance recognition accuracy when network jitter occurs, but do not generally compensate for packet loss successfully. They also confirm that packet loss is a more significant problem for larger loss burst-lengths.enVoice over Internet ProtocolSpeech recognitionPacket lossThe effect of network degradation on speech recognitionConference PresentationJoubert, G., & Barnard, E.
