The purpose of the report card was to draw the attention of government, and of the public at large, to the importance of maintenance, and to factors underlying the state of repair of infrastructure. Its success was such that the CSIR and SAICE brought the next report card out in 2011, and are again working together to prepare a new edition, to appear in 2016.enSouth African engineering infrastructureSustainable built environmentsSouth African Institution of Civil EngineeringSAICESmart and sustainable built environments 2015Asset managementA rating tool to assess the condition of South African infrastructureConference PresentationWall, K., & Rust, C.
