This work addresses the need for the development of skills and interest in mathematics, particularly for students in the early years of primary school where core mathematical knowledge is formed. The development and implementation of Maths Mat - an interactive system to teach children multiplication tables and inspired by ideas from a teacher in the field - provides a solution to promoting mathematics.
