Previous chapters, Maximising the Sun (Conradie, 2011) and SA Climate Zones and Weather Files (Conradie, 2012), gave an introduction of the current South African climatic characteristics. This chapter explores appropriate passive design approaches for the various South African climatic regions in detail and provide some clear answers to designers as well as the expected climate change expressed in Köppen-Geiger categories. |
