dc.description.abstract This presentation highlights the effect of unsafe water on people's health in South Africa. It looks at the total population of people without access to clean, safe water. A high percentage of deaths in South Africa are attributable to water, sanitation and hygiene. Records of people ill with diarrhoea are not kept in South Africa, except for administering oral rehydration solution or therapy to children below the age of five years. en_US
