Wrap Spinning: Principles and Development

Abstract

A wrap yarn is a composite structure comprising a core of twisted or twisted fibres bound by a yarn or continuous filament. The term wrap yarn therefore include yarns produced by the hollow spindle method as well as similar structure such as selfil and Repco wrapped yarns, but does not, however, include structure such as Dref. Wrap yarn were produced more than a century ago by the woven horse hair interlining trade.
