Abstract: Cellulose is the most abundant polymer on earth- has emerged as an ideal candidate for providing nanoparticles as reinforcing agents. There is a growing interest in cellulose nanocomposites within the research community and especially if the composites are based on renewable resources. This chapter deals with various aspects of cellulosic nanofibre reinforced rubber nanocomposites. A brief description of cellulosic microfibrils and its properties is mentioned and some of recent studies dealing with cellulosic fibril reinforced rubber composites have been highlighted.
