| Abstract: | This presentation focused on the transcriptional analysis of heterologous gene expression using the endogenous sD promoter from Bacillus halodurans. It concludes to a successful implementation of a high throughput mRNA sandwich hybridisation quantification assay. It also found that B. halodurans sD promoter regulated in a similar fashion in complex media as B. subtilis, that vector choice influences transcript levels, that flgM-null mutant improves transcript levels but not protein levels and that peptide production follows transcript profile for LB. |
