dc.description 4th International Conference on Information Warfare and Security, Cape Town, South Africa, 26-27 March 2009 en
dc.description.abstract Security and usability are crucial factors for the successful of any e-commerce system. However, they have traditionally been considered a design trade-off. In an effort to align them, this paper highlights the design principles and guidelines for usable and secure systems. These principles and guidelines are used to evaluate and demonstrate several real-life cases of effective and less effective security and usability implementations in an emerging economy (South African) context. en
