dc.description Estuaries of the Cape en
dc.description.abstract This report was prepared as a result of a research undertaken in both the catchment and the estuary. The prime motivation for this work has been the need to estimate the impact of the dams on the ecology of the river and estuary and on the dynamics of the estuary mouth. The estuary is in a virtually pristine condition. This can be attributed largely to the limited human activity and development in its environs. Human activities in the catchment have had even less effect on the estuary than those in its immediate surroundings. en
