| Abstract: | A mobile LIDAR system is being developed at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) National Laser Centre (NLC), Pretoria (25°5' S; 28°2' E), South Africa. The system is primarily designed for measuring trace gases/pollutants in the troposphere region of the atmosphere. At this moment, the system has been developed for atmospheric backscatter measurements. The complete detailed system description is presented in this paper |
