| Abstract: | Underground mines are divided into ventilating districts. This means that two or more workings use the same ventalation air to cool and provide workers with breathable air. Every year, a substantial number of Self-Contained Self-Rescuers (SCSRs) are activated in underground mines and pontentially save many lives. This poster shows how the CSIR monitored the function and performance of the SCSRs in mining industry. |
