dc.description.abstract The Digital Doorway is a joint project between the South African Department of Science and Technology (DST) and the Meraka Institute of the CSIR. The project aims at promoting computer literacy and associated skills in Africa. The Digital Doorway is already installed in several schools and by the end of 2008, 200 Digital Doorways will have been deployed in South Africa. The project includes three phases to ensure the effective of the system. en
