dc.description.abstract Skilful dialogue design in an interactive voice response system has facilitated the effective use of a telephone-based health information syatem ny caregivers to HIV/AIDS-infected childern in Botswana. The intended users, caregivers, can access information over telephone line in their local language. This uniqueness necessitates the design of a system to meet specific concerns and decisions, which will ensure its usefulness and usability to its intended users. This document describes both context and content design of the dialogue system. en
