| Abstract: | During the past few years the National Programme for Environmental Sciences has been involved in assessing the potential of aquaculture in South Africa and in formulating a research policy which will provide the information needed to place the industry on a sound footing. An Aquaculture Working Group was appointed by the CSIR in 1981, which developed a research strategy, identified needs and suggested priorities for research on major problem areas in aquaculture. |
