| Abstract: | This document describes the kinds of ecosystems involved and some of the current and possible future research questions in the IUE programme. Attempts are made to allocate priorities for future action. The need for such a document was first expressed by Dr A F Bartsch (US Environmental Protection Agency) who visited South Africa in March 1977 as a consultant to the Water Research Commission. It has been drawn up with both limnologists and decision makers in mind, in order to facilitate their involvement in the planning of the IWE programme. |
