This publication contains information on all major modes of transport in South Africa. The transport sector is placed in perspective relative to the macro economy and a number of important transport indicators are given. The document also contains information on the infrastructure of the transport modes as well as the utilisation thereof. An international comparison is drawn with regard to selected parameters.
