dc.description.abstract The South African Committee in Oceanographic Research (SANCOR) has been requested to compile a comprehensive bibliography on marine biology in South Africa. It is hoped that it will appear in 1977. SANCOR has made funds available on its 1976 budget for the production of a collective reference work on South African estuaries, under the editorship of Professor J H Day, University of Cape Town. The South African entry in the FAO International Directory of Marine Scientists has recently been updated and will also be published in 1976 as a separate booklet. en
