Data sheets are provided for 22 threatened South African large mammals, one exterminated (Liechtenstein1s hartebeest), eight endangered (cheetah, hunting dog, dugong, Cape mountain zebra, black rhinoceros, tsessebe, roan antelope, suni), one vulnerable (oribi), nine rare (leopard, serval, brown hyaena, aardwolf, bontebok, sable antelope, blue duiker, red duiker, Sharpe's grysbok) and three special cases (elephant, Hartmann's mountain zebra, hippopotamus).
