| Abstract: | The aim of this investigation was the verification of the code of Practice for Rope Condition Assessment. Ropes were meant to be discarded according to the discard criteria as outlined in the code and then tested by the CSIR. The results of the tensile tests on these specimens would indicate how accurate the code was and what changes were required to improve it further. |
