The primary objective of the Road Header (RH) environmental control project is to minimise the dust exposure of workers while maintaining adequate ventilation conditions in RH headings in order to optimise the working environment of mine workers. This report describes the work done during the third phase of the overall project, involving underground trials on the full range of control systems carried out by the CSIR Miningtek team in the South shaft of bank colliery.
