Studies on the surface chemistry of wool. Part II - The critical surface tension of wool and polymers - some results and a reinterpretation of the theory on surface interactions
A brief review of the theory and literature on interfacial phenomena is given. A statistical analysis of published data has shown that the value obtained for Y (the surface free energy or surface tension of a solid), is dependent on the values of the dispersion and polar components of the liquid surface tension used in its determination.
