This paper investigates the performance of super-orthogonal space time trellis codes when Virtual Antenna Arrays (VAA) is employed. The concept of virtual antenna arrays was developed to emulate Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) schemes with limited number of antennas. The emulated MIMO systems drastically increase data throughput in terms of the bit error rate (BER) and the frame error rate (FER) when compared with MIMO schemes where VAA is not employed
